Our Place – Our Story

Ireland 2040 – Our Plan in partnership with the Libraries Development Board of the Local Government Management Agency (LGMA) are embarking on a joint community centred consultation project, entitled Our Place – Our Story, which will form part of the public consultation process for the draft Ireland 2040 – Our Plan National Planning Framework (NPF).

A number of libraries have been invited to run a consultation session in your local community to promote Our Place – Our Story and invite your local community to participate in a focus group session designed to explore Irish identity through place(s) and what that identity means for places now, and in the future.

The output of these consultation sessions will be interpreted by local creatives, skilled in the written word and their poems, short stories etc will complement the formal public consultation of the draft NPF.

This will be a unique way of interpreting the connection of local communities with their concept of place and their hopes for their place in the future.

Here are the details of the consultation sessions for Our Place – Our Story, you can contact the relevant person in your area for further details.
